A graduate of the University of Oklahoma and Washington University (St. Louis), Terry has served as the chief executive officer of a number of hospitals in South Carolina, Tennessee, and Georgia. He joined Hospital Corporation of America (HCA) in 1993, and held multiple senior executive positions with HCA, including CEO of Doctor's Hospital in Augusta, Trident Health System in Charleston, and President of HCA Carolina Market.
Terry has successfully launched strategic service lines, increased both inpatient and outpatient admissions, led operational excellence efforts, improved employee and physician engagement, and achieved significant earnings growth for the organizations he headed.
Mike came to us from the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville, VA, where he was director of financial administration.
Mike received his bachelor of science degree in business administration from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, NC. He also received a master's degree in business administration from East Carolina University in Greenville, NC.
A HFMA member, Mike's experience working at a major university and managing the finances of a 574-bed, level one trauma center is a great assest to his position at KershawHealth.
Having worked in hospital leadership roles for 27 years, Susan brings significant experience to her position as Chief Operating Officer and has a proven track record of service growth and quality care. Ms. Burroughs comes to Camden from Charleston where she served as Vice President Provider Solutions for Resource Partners, LLC. Prior to that, she served as Associate Chief Operating Officer for HCA, Inc.’s Corporate Executive Development Program in Nashville, TN and Associate Chief Operating Officer for Trident Medical Center in Charleston. Susan earned her B.S. in biology from California State University in Northridge and her M.H.A. (Master’s in Health Administration) from the University of Southern California School of Policy, Planning and Development in Los Angeles and was chosen Dean’s Merit Scholar. She has earned certifications in Six Sigma Green Belt from the University of South Carolina in Columbia, LEAN Healthcare from the Belmont University, Jack C. Massey Graduate School and Management of Ambulatory Care Systems from the University of Southern California School of Policy, Planning and Development.
Jamie comes to us from Dover, DE were she most recently served as the System Quality and Continuous Improvement Director at Bayhealth Hospital System. Jamie brings over 10 years of experience in quality, patient safety, regulatory compliance, infection prevention, and performance improvement. Jamie has served in several other roles at health systems throughout the United States including Interim VP of Quality through Transformation Initiative at Parkland Health & Hospital System in Dallas, TX and Healthcare Process Improvement Engineer at Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory in Laurel, MD. Jamie holds a BS in Biology from South Carolina State University, a Graduate Certificate in Healthcare Management, and a Master of Public Health from East Tennessee State University. Jamie is a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB), Certified TeamSTEPPS Master Trainer, a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executive (FACHE), a High Reliability Organization (HRO) Master Trainer and a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ).
Chief Nursing Officer
A graduate of Lugoff-Elgin High School, Stacy received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing and her Master of Science Degree in Nursing Administration from the University of South Carolina. Currently, she is working on her DNP (Doctorate in Nursing Practice), to be completed in 2016.
Stacy joined KershawHealth as a staff nurse in 1998, and has served in various leadership positions over the years, including Nurse Manager, Performance Improvement Coordinator, Nursing Operations Coordinator, and Director of Inpatient Nursing.
She was a Palmetto Gold Nursing Excellence Award winner in 2006, graduated from the SCHA Management Academy in 2009, and was named KershawHealth Thoroughbred in 2009 and 2013. In addition, Stacy is a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality; Nurse Executive, Advanced - Board Certified; Certified Executive in Nursing Practice; and a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt. She currently serves as a member of the Central Carolina Nursing Advisory Board, the University of South Carolina Partnership Board, and the Mid-Carolina AHEC Board.
Angela joined KershawHealth in 2001 as the Director of Human Resources. Prior to joining the medical center Angela was a Senior Human Resources Manager for IKON Office Solutions for the Southeastern Region. Angela also worked as a paralegal for 8 years in Miami, Indianapolis and Washington, DC.
Angela received her Bachelor of Science degree in consumer economics from the University of Georgia.
Angela is a member of the American Society for Healthcare Human Resources Association (ASHHRA) and has served as President and a Board Member of the South Carolina Healthcare Human Resources Association (SCHHRA).
